Shredding Hunger: Secure Document Shredding That Helps Feed Local Families April 18th

Keller Williams Southwest is excited to invite you to our annual Shredding Hunger event, where you can securely shred your sensitive documents while helping fight hunger in Fort Bend County. This free, in-person community event is our way of “giving where we live” and supporting families in need through East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Inc.

Event Details

  • Event: Shredding Hunger (Paper Shredding & Food Drive)
  • Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Location: Keller Williams Southwest parking lot
  • Address: 1650 Highway 6, Sugar Land, TX 77478
  • Cost: Free paper shredding with your cash or non-perishable food donation

How Shredding Hunger Works

Bring your boxes or bags of paper documents—old statements, files, and other sensitive paperwork—to our office during event hours. Our shredding partner will securely shred your documents on-site at no charge when you donate non-perishable food items or make a cash contribution. All food and funds collected will go directly to East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Inc., which provides essential support and emergency food assistance to families in Fort Bend County.

Why Your Donation Matters

Hunger is a real and ongoing challenge for many of our neighbors, and local food pantries rely on the community to keep their shelves stocked. By participating in Shredding Hunger, you are doing more than clearing out clutter and protecting your identity—you are helping ensure that local families have access to the food they need. A simple box of documents and a bag of groceries can make a meaningful difference for someone right here in our community.

A Community Tradition

Over the years, Shredding Hunger has become one of our favorite traditions at Keller Williams Southwest because it brings together our agents, staff, clients, and neighbors for a shared purpose. Car after car pulls into the parking lot, documents are shredded securely, and generous donations of food are loaded up for delivery to East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.
